Steps, Obstacles, & Successes

STEP 1: 

Planning out the schedule and steps that were needed for my video to come together. 

STEP 2: 

Going through my clients closet to figure out what clothes she already 
has that would be best for her figure. 

STEP 3: 

Having my client pick out outfits for casual wear, formal wear, and evening wear. 

STEP 4:  

Having my client try on the outfits to get a full body look and give advice to her about certain looks for her pear body shape.  

STEP 5: 

Choosing three different outfits out of my clients closet to give her a taste of what colors and styles look best on her body for causal, evening and formal wear.

STEP 6: 

Having her try on all of the outfits I picked for her to give her tips on important things to pay attention to with a pear shaped body.  

STEP 6: 

 Meeting at the hair and makeup salon to set up appointments to tie together the process of my makeover. 

STEP 7: 

Giving a cut and style to my client to give her hair more volume and life, giving her a new way to learn how to do her hair in the mornings.  

STEP 8: 

Giving a fresh and vibrant look by applying makeup to her face. Makeup by Allison Baughman, using "Glo" products by Jennifer Lopez. 

STEP 9: 

The before and after shots from the makeup and hair studio, shaved ten years off! 

STEP 10: 

Pulling everything together: The formal wear outfit I chose for her, a fresh new cut and natural and light makeup. What a beautiful makeover!

STEP 11: 

Setting up a meeting with my mentor at Starbucks to show her the finalized product of my senior project. She gave me tips on things she believed I should change and what looked perfect.   

STEP 12:

Using my computer video program to complete my video that is shown below. Hope you enjoy!

OBSTACLES:

During my project, I ran into many things that stressed me out. One of the most stressful was figuring out my timing for everything to take place and making sure it all got done in a timely fashion. I also had trouble putting the video together but managed to buckle down and make sure it got done in plenty of time before it was due. 

SUCCESSES:

 The main success during this project would be the enjoyment that I got out of it. I loved being about to enjoy what I was participating in and learning new things along the way. I also had to do a bit of research when looking for good styles for my client and figuring out what was best for her look, but found that to be a breeze. 

 My mentor:

Jennifer Schlosser was my mentor for my senior project. She was such a huge inspiration, giving me so many ideas and thoughts about what I should do when searching for the right things to do for my product, and just always being a helping hand whenever I needed her! She has a great imagination when it comes to dealing with fashion and I look up to her in so many ways. Thank you so much Jennifer! Couldn't have done this without you.  

Learning Stretch: 

During the process of this graduation project, I believed in the beginning that I would never get as far as I have gotten now. But with a lot of people behind me to push me towards the end and help me along the way, I found a great pleasure in completing my product. I have learned through this project how to manage my time better and how interested I am in helping people find there true identity throughout there outer appearance. I can honestly say that this project has made me have a better idea as to what I would like to go to college for and led me to something I enjoy doing very much.
